Hi there does this software integrate into an existing mysql database or does it require its own? I have a mambo site and would like to integrate this software into an existing database.

Hi,

There is no prefixe to our table names. So, it's hazardous to use a not empty database.

But you may try... (make a backup before in case of conflict ;-)

The other way is to check if Mambo does not allow prefixes and in this case to re-install Mambo with prefixed table names...

You just have to follow the install instructions written in the documentation directory.

Hi thanks i have read this and as i understand it the install creates a sql database? but i already have one and want to connect openflyers to this will it do this automatically or do i need to specify somewhere in the install files the EXISTING database name and password etc.
when i go to the install page it asks me what language so i choose english and then nothing happens?

OpenFlyers does not create a database. When you give him database access parameters, it uses them to connect to the existing one.

For the english language, you have validated your selection ?

Find the screen-snapshot you should have.

Tell-me if it's correct.

No. it's a webmaster job: you just have to download the file on our website, then unzip it and copy files into a directory of your choice where is located OpenFlyers (PEAR for example). After, you just have to set the path in the conf/config.php file (it's the PEAR_DIRECTORY setting).
